Paul Daniel Dunn, age 31, of Maumelle, died Monday, October
7, 2002. He was born June 29, 1971 in Forrest City, AR. He was
a member of the Chenal Valley Church of Christ and the Kappa Sigma
Fraternity.
Paul graduated from UALR with a degree in business communications
and he was employed with USAble Life Insurance Company. He loved
outdoor sports including water-skiing, snow-skiing, basketball,
softball, scuba diving and swimming. He was honored to be allowed
to carry the 2002 Winter Olympic Torch through Little Rock in
December 2001.
Even though he was not blessed with a long life, he had tremendous
impact on the lives of many. He was a very loving husband and
father and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Paul is survived by his wife, Kristi Lea Spears Dunn; son,
Jerry Parker Dunn of Maumelle; mother, Rhonda Dunn of Cabot; sister,
Jennifer Dunn of Little Rock; grandparents, Annelle Dunn of North
Little Rock and Margaret Campbell of Forrest City; father-in-law
and mother-in-law, Jerry and Donna Spears of Little Rock; brother-in-law
and sister-in-law, Mark and Kim Rickett of Little Rock and two
nephews, Hayden and Brandon Rickett. He was preceded in death
by his father, James P. Dunn.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 9,
2002 at the Chenal Valley Church of Christ with Mr. Danny Burleson
and Mr. Keith Lape officiating. Interment will be in Rest Hills
Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Anthony Uekmann, Hugh McConnell,
Scott Whittis, John Malone, McCall Hogan and Tom Koller. Honorary
Pallbearers will be the Members of Kappa Sigma Fraternity.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday,
October 8 at Roller Chenal Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mary Anita Patterson, age 83, of Forrest City, died Monday, Oct. 7, 2002.
Mrs. Patterson was born Oct. 21, 1918, in Forrest City, the daughter of John McCrary and Susan McCrary. She lived in Forrest City most of her life, was a housewife, worked at the Fabric Center for many years and a member of the First Christian Church.
Mrs. Patterson married James MaColm Patterson in 1941 and he survives her along with two daughters, Anita Sue Taylor of Forrest City, Betty Geiger of Houston, Texas; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Patterson will be Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Services will be held graveside at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2002, at Mt. Vernon Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
Mr. Moses "Peter" Taylor Jr., age 67, of Madison, died Friday, Oct. 4, 2002, at Primacy Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Memphis.
Mr. Taylor was born July 12, 1935, in Earle, and was a retired laborer with Griffin Lumber Company. He is survived by two sons, Billy Taylor of Jonesboro and Leodis Wiley Sr., of Pontiac, Mich.; two brothers, Johnny Taylor Sr. of Madison and Chester Taylor of Memphis; a sister, Georgia Taylor of Chicago, Ill.; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation services for Mr. Taylor will be held Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the chapel of Clay Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2002, at 10 a.m. at St. John M.B. Church with Rev. James Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at Casteel Cemetery under the direction of Clay Funeral Home.
