Mrs. Mary D. McGhee Cobbage, age 90, of Chicago, Ill. and formerly of Forrest City, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2002, at her daughter's home.
Mrs. Cobbage was born Feb. 9, 1912, in Pine Bluff, the daughter of Lucy Daniels and Joshua Daniels. She was a member of the Eastern Stars Boyd Chapter 106, active with a senior citizens group and was a member of the Beth Salem Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Cobbage is survived by one son, Mason McGhee of Forrest City; two daughters, Ernestine Broadous of Portland Ore., Estella McDonald of Chicago Ill.; one niece, Lucy Edwards of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; a nephew, Marcus Freeman of Tacoma, Wash.; and a host of grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Will Cobbage and a daughter, Canary Crawford.
Funeral services for Mrs. Cobbage were held on Friday, Sept. 20, 2002, at Le Claire Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago, Ill., with Rev. Ossie Bush officiating. Wallace Broadview Funeral Home of Chicago, Ill. was in charge of all arrangements.
