Mr. James "Bo" Gattis, age 63, of Hughes, died Monday, Sept. 23, 2002, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Memphis. Mr. Gattis was a retired insurance agent.
Mr. Gattis is survived by his wife, Virginia Gattis; his parents, Thomas Burnes and Irene Burnes of Hughes; one daughter, Lanette Harwell of Memphis; and three sisters, Gladys Atkinson of Oxford, Miss., Sharon Caudill of Danville, Ill., and Debbie Floyd of Marble Falls, Texas; and a grandson.
Visitation for Mr. Gattis will be held Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home of West Memphis. Services will be held on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, at 10 a.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion under the direction of Roller-Citizens Funeral Home of West Memphis.
The family requests that memorials be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis.
