Mr. Julian Chesteen Crumbly, age 76, of Chicago, Ill., died Friday, April 4, 2003.
Mr. Crumbly was born Sept. 9, 1926, in Widener, and was a veteran of the United States Navy.
He is survived by a son, Dana Julian Crumbly of Tempe, Ariz.; four brothers, Ralph Crumbly and Joe Crumbly both of Chicago; Isaac Crumbly of Fort Valley, Ga. and Jack Crumbly of Widener, and five sisters, Florine Kelly of Detroit, Mich., Catherine Manning of Maywood, Ill., Hazel Smith of Forrest City, Jeanette Wiley of Blythville and Edna Thompson of Las Vegas, Nev.
Funeral services for Mr. Crumbly were held on Thursday, April 10, 2003 at 1 p.m. at the St. Luke AME Church with Rev. E.J. Outley officiating. Burial followed in Paradise Garden Cemetery.
Dominic Alan McNutt, the infant son of Mario Henry McNutt and Candice Rose McNutt of Forrest City, died Monday, April 7, 2003 at Baptist Memorial Women's Hospital in Memphis. He is survived by both his parents and grandparents, Henry and Linda McNutt of Forrest City and Alice Tousant of Forrest City.
Graveside services for Dominic McNutt were held on Thursday, April 10, 2003 at 9:30 a.m. at Clark Cemetery in Caldwell. Clay Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
Mr. Troy Lindsey Scott, age 75, of Widener, died Wednesday, April 9, 2003.
Mr. Scott was born June 14, 1927, in Wynne, the son of Virgil Scott and Alberta Boone Scott. He lived in Cross and St. Francis Counties for most of his life and was the owner-partner of Scott and Scott Construction. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of the Antioch Baptist Church.
Mr. Scott is survived by three sons, Bobby Scott of Armuchee, Ga., Jimmy Scott of Bryant and Terry Scott of Conway; three daughters, Brenda Munn of Forrest City, Linda Hogan of Jonesboro and Lisa Stevens of Forrest City; a stepdaughter, Teresa Brannon of Armuchee, Ga.; two sisters, Bobbie Spiedel and Peggy Eggleston both of Denver, Colo.; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation services for Mr. Scott will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2003, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2003, in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home with burial following in Harris Chapel Cemetery in Wynne.
