June Tucker-O'Shields

Mrs. June Tucker-O'Shields, age 83, of Colt and formerly of the Jacksonville and North Little Rock area, died Sunday, April 13, 2003.

Mrs. Tucker-O'Shields was a life member of the Methodist Church, a past president of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, a life member of the American Legion, was the M.O.C.A. and State Chaplain M.O.C.A. She was also a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church in Colt and was a restaurant owner.

Mrs. Tucker-O'Shields is survived by her two daughters, Doris Walls of Hot Springs Village and Carol Ward of Colt; one son, David Trifon of Houston, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mrs. Tucker-O'Shields will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2003, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home in North Little Rock. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home in North Little Rock with Rev. Royce Lowe officiating. A graveside service will also be held following at 2 p.m. at Marianna Cemetery in Marianna.
