Odell Clay

Mr. Odell Clay, age 81, of Forrest City, died Sunday, April 20, 2003, at his home.

Mr. Clay was a born March 28, 1922 in Palestine, and was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co.

Mr. Clay is survived by his wife, Rennie Clay of Forrest City; one son, Michael Eugene Clay of Bowling Green, Ky.; three daughters, Rennell Clay Green of Phoenix, Ariz., Adelle Chatman, Madison, Ill., and Rose Marie Jones, Langly, Va.; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation services for Mr. Clay will be held on Friday, April 25, 2003, from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Clay Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2003, at 1 p.m. at St. Luke AME Church with Rev. E.J. Outley officiating. Burial will follow in Forrest City Cemetery.


Walter Jackson

Mr. Walter Jackson Jr., age 59, of Hughes, died Thursday, April 17, 2003, at his home.

Mr. Jackson, the son of Alberta Jackson of Hughes and Walter Jackson Sr., of Lorraine, Ohio is survived by his wife, Dorothy Jackson of Hughes; his parents; four sons, Walter Jackson III, of West Memphis, Rev. Cornell Jackson of Jonesboro, Stoney Jackson and Derrick Jackson, both of Hughes; 10 sisters, Carolyn Hennings, Lillie Taylor and Estella Clark, all of Chicago, Ill., Sarah Hamilton of Benton Harbor, Mich., Melinda Jackson, Queen Stone and Alberta Jackson, all of Lorraine, Ohio, Rose Payne, Lessie Jackson and Sherry Thomas, all of Hughes; four brothers, Tommy Jackson of Chicago, Ill., Clyde Jackson of Park Forrest, Ill., Robert Jackson of Benton Harbor, Mich., Larry Jackson of Memphis; and five grandchildren.

Visitation services for Mr. Jackson will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2003, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Locust Grove M.B. Church in Hughes. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with burial following in Paradise Garden. Anthony Funeral Home in Anthonyville is in charge of arrangements.
