Rita Grace Campbell

Mrs. Rita Grace Campbell, age 61, of Wynne, died Friday, April 4, 2003, at St. Bernard's Hospital in Jonesboro.

Mrs. Campbell was born Dec. 31, 1941, the daughter of Ralph Cadwell and Mary Wilson Cadwell. She lived in Wynne for the past 12 years, was a retired school teacher and a member of the Wynne Baptist Church.

Mrs. Campbell married Don Campbell in 1963, and he survives her along with two sons, Michael Campbell and Chris Campbell both of Conway.

Visitation services for Mrs. Campbell were held on Sunday, April 6, 2003, at Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services were held on Monday, April 7, 2003, at 1 p.m. at the Wynne Baptist Church with Rev. Archie Mason officiating. Burial followed in Forrest Park Cemetery.

The family requests memorials be made to the Wynne Baptist Church.


Lorene "Flossy" Price Griham

Mrs. Lorene "Flossy" Price Griham, age 76, of Madison, died Tuesday, April 1, 2003.

Mrs. Griham is survived by her husband, Charlie Griham; seven daughters, Linda Hicks, Evelyn Nicks, Mary Hall, Joyce Alexander, Donna Johnson, Diane Edwards and Sharon Griham; three sons, Billy Griham, Harold Griham and Lydell Griham; 28 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation services for Mrs. Griham will be held on Monday, April 7, 2003, from 12 to 5 p.m. at the Robinson Mortuary in North Little Rock and on Tuesday, April 8, 2003, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the St. John Baptist Church in Madison. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at 11 a.m. at the St. John Baptist Church in Madison.


Mary Izard Manly

Mrs. Mary Izard Manly, age 93, of Tunica, Miss., and formerly a long time resident of West Memphis, died Saturday, April 5, 2003, in Memphis.

Mrs. Manly was born Nov. 21, 1909, in Forrest City, the daughter of R. J. Izard and Zell Rogers Izard. Mrs. Manly was a member of the First Baptist Church in West Memphis and a homemaker.

In 1930 Mrs. Manly married C. F. Manly Sr. and he preceded her in death in 1983. She is survived by a daughter, Sue Manly Murphy of Tunica; a sister, Hazel I. Mays of Tuscumbia, Ala.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several other friends and family. She was also preceded in death by a son, Charles F. Manley Jr. in 1965.

Funeral services for Mrs. Manly will be held graveside at Forrest Park Cemetery on Monday, April 7, 2003 at 4 p.m. with Rev. Daniel L. Smith officiating. Stevens Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.


Chester "Sonnie" Williams

Mr. Chester "Sonnie" Williams, age 77, of Forrest City, died Thursday, April 3, 2003, at his home.

Mr. Williams, formerly of Palestine, was born August 29, 1925, in Palestine and was the son of Chester Williams and Ruth Austa Gamble Williams. He lived in St. Francis County for most of his life and was an employee of the sawmills in this area.

Mr. Williams is survived by four daughters, Gail Melton, Olga Poland, Lora Culver and Sylvia Williams, all of Forrest City; five sons, Jacob Williams, Richard Williams, Michael Williams and Roger Williams, all of Forrest City and Sonny Williams of Cherry Valley; one sister, Donna Kaligan of Illinois; one brother, Patrick Williams of Palestine; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Wallace Williams.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Williams were held on Sunday, April 6, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. at Bell Cemetery in Palestine under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
