CABOT -- Forrest City scored the first two runs of the game Monday against Cabot, but the Lady Panthers had the final say taking a 19-4 victory over the Lady Mustangs.
Cabot won the junior varsity game as well, 16-0 in the AAAAA-East Conference fast-pitch softball doubleheader.
Forrest City falls to 7-21 for the year and finishes league play at 2-12.
Forrest City has three nonconference games remaining on the season schedule, today at Little Rock McClellan, Thursday at Wynne and Friday at Marion.
Kanetra Pendleton and Jennifer Ballard gave Forrest City a 2-0 lead in the top of the first before Cabot answered with five runs in the home half of the inning to lead 5-2.
Cabot added six runs in the second to push their lead to 11-2. Pendleton's solo home run in the top of the third left Forrest City trailing 11-3.
Forrest City would add another run in the top of the fourth when Kimberly Hoots doubled and scored before Cabot ended the game under the run-rule by scoring eight runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Lady Mustang pitcher Mallory Nelson was tagged with the loss.
It was more of the same for the junior varsity as Cabot scored 12 runs in the second inning to end the game.
*At Cherry Valley, the Cross County Lady Thunderbirds scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to take a 16-6 run-rule win over the Hughes Lady Blue Devils in slow-pitch softball.
Hughes led 3-0, 4-1 and 6-4 before the Lady Thunderbirds plated four runs in the bottom of the fourth to take an 8-6 lead. Cross County added three more runs in the fifth.
Mandi Davidson, Jennifer Mcpherson, Monica Petty, Jenee Robinson, Latoya Dobbins and Marley Lemons each scored single runs for the Lady Blue Devils, 2-5 overall for the year.
The Lady Thunderbirds scored their 16 runs on just seven hits but were helped by several Hughes errors.
Tied at 4-4, Hughes loaded the bases in the top of the fourth and got two runs on Tisha James' two-RBI single.
The Lady Blue Devils loaded the bases in the top of the sixth when McPherson singled, James walked and Mandi Davidson used a fielder's choice to get on base with two outs before a flyout by Brandi Davidson ended the inning.
The Lady Blue Devils will play Cross County again on Thursday.
*Searcy tacked on two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to take a 4-3 win over Jonesboro Monday in AAAAA-East fast-pitch softball action.
The Lady Hurricane trailed 2-1 in the top of the seventh when Sara Lehman tied the game with an RBI triple with two outs.
In the eighth inning, with Chelsea Reeves on second, Amanda Cole ripped an RBI base hit to give Jonesboro a 3-2 lead.
Searcy tacked on a pair of runs in the bottom of the inning, however, to secure the win.
Jeni Bradbury was 2-for-4 for the Lady Hurricane.
Amanda Berry was the losing pitcher.

The Forrest City Mustang golf team took a 10-stroke victory over West Memphis Monday at Forrest City Country Club.
The Mustangs won the conference match 161-to-171.
Brian Hacker missed medalist honors by one stroke, finishing with a 36. West Memphis' Jordan Payne took home the honor with round of 35.
Sawyer Ramsey finished with a 39 while John Scott Carroll carded a 42 and Jake Wade had a 44.
Doug Drake, getting his second straight start with the varsity team, finished with a 51.
In junior varsity play, T.J. Drake shot a 70.
Monday's win gives the Mustangs a split in the home-and-home series against the Blue Devils.
West Memphis won the first match.
The Mustangs will play at Blytheville today, the first meeting of the season between the two schools.
The Forrest City Mustang baseball team will play a varsity/junior varsity conference doubleheader today at Jonesboro.
The twinbill is set to start at 4 p.m.
The Mustangs will host Searcy on Thursday.
