People needing information on health care will be able to access an Internet-based county resource directory, beginning in about three weeks.
According to Melissa Ward of the St. Francis County Health Unit, the directory will be as complete as possible.
"Right now we're trying to make sure we haven't missed anybody -- anyone who wants to be listed in the resource directory," she said.
"It's a web site that is going to have information about any type of health care provider in the county, and some state and national level resources that are available," she continued.
The site will enable users to find health care providers by specific subject, such as speech therapy, she said.
"We'll also educate agencies on how to use this resource directory, so other people in the community who may not necessarily have access to the Internet, can go to one of the agencies and get the information," she said.
Agencies or businesses who may not have Internet access will be able to get a printout, she said.
The web address, once it is ready, will be www.sfchealthnetwork.com
Any business, organization or other group wishing to be listed in the resource directly needs to contact Ward at 633-1340 for an information form.
Information needed includes the name of the agency/organization, address, phone, email/web address, contact person, hours of operation, services offered, fee for services, and any additional information the group thinks is necessary.
There is no fee for being listed in the director.
According to Ward, there is also a search on for community members who would volunteer sometime and be willing to be trained to update the directory in the future as new organizations are listed. Eric Walls Consulting is building and designing the wet site.

Forrest City police spent most of the early morning hours on Saturday chasing a subject they believed fired shots into a public housing unit.
The Forrest City Police Department was notified about 1 a.m., that a subject had allegedly assaulted a woman at the Shell Superstop on West Broadway and followed her to her home in Turner Circle where he reportedly fired shots into her home with a .380 caliber pistol.
Erika Haggans, 18, 190 Turner Circle, Apt. 25, told police that when she was leaving the convenience store, her path was blocked by a vehicle driven by Cedric Glaze, 20, 203 Roosevelt, Forrest City. Glaze allegedly exited his vehicle and struck Haggans in the face and head with his fists before he fled.
About 15 minutes later, police were called to Turner Circle in reference to a shooting incident in which Glaze is accused of firing shots into Haggans home.
An officer responding to the call reported Glaze's vehicle left the housing area without the lights turned on in his vehicle and traveling at a high rate of speed. The officer attempted to chase the suspect, but lost sight of the vehicle on East Broadway.
Some time later, police discovered Glaze's vehicle parked in front of his residence on Roosevelt Street and found the suspect inside the home. After talking with Glaze, police handcuffed him and transported him back to Turner Circle where he was identified as the suspect in the shooting.
While continuing the investigation, police placed Glaze in the back seat of a patrol car, but the suspect escaped by breaking out a rear glass on the unit and fled on foot.
About 5 a.m., police were notified that Glaze had been observed in the Beech Grove area, but when police arrived, the suspect climbed a wooden fence and fled again.
However, information obtained by police led officers to believe Glaze may have traveled to a residence in Wynne, so after notifying police there of Glaze's suspected location, Cross County officers took the still-handcuffed suspect into custody about 8:30 a.m. without incident.
Glaze is charged with third-degree battery, five counts of aggravated assault, felony fleeing, two counts of misdemeanor fleeing, criminal impersonation, third-degree escape and criminal mischief. He was scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon in St. Francis County District Court.
On Friday night, troopers with Arkansas State Police Troop D chased a car occupied by three people after an incident at the Sonic Drive-In, during which one of the suspects allegedly spit in the face of a girl.
According to the police report, a woman reported that she and her daughter were parked at the Sonic at about 7:45 p.m. when a man left his vehicle and walked up to their vehicle, asking for a ride, which was refused.
The man left, and then allegedly returned with a gun, threatening to kill them. He also allegedly spit in the face of the daughter.
The man then left the scene in an automobile, and was apprehended by state police at about 9:50 p.m.
State police arrested Leamone Lenelle Burnam, 32, of West Memphis, on charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threatening and parole violation, fleeing, no driver's licenses, DWI (Drugs), disorderly conduct, reckless driving and refusing to submit to arrest.
Also arrested were Lawrence Burnam, 34, of Memphis, charged with public intoxication; and Joyce Ann Burnam-Mucherson, 22, of Memphis, charged with obstructing government operations. All were taken to the St. Francis County Jail.
The Forrest City School Board is scheduled to meet at 5:30 this evening at the Forrest Hills Elementary School campus.
The board will hear from the district's fiscal agent, Jack Truemper of Stephens Inc., on a millage rate change that will have to be approved by voters. Board members will also hear a report on the construction progress at the new junior high school and consider change orders for the project along with the demolition of the cottage.
Under new business, the board will hear updates from the school improvement/pride committee general meetings.
Also during the meeting, the board is expected to recognize members of the high school's state championship Mock Trial Team.
A fight over food Saturday night at a Colt residence escalated into a knife battle after which two men were left nursing injuries to their ears.
The St. Francis County Sheriff's Department reported the altercation started about 7 p.m., when Jason Daniels, 27, and Larry Henson, 56, both of 172 SFC 241, Colt, began arguing over a piece of ham. According to the report, Henson told Daniels he was "not going to eat anything without paying for it."
Both subjects then grabbed knives and started attacking one another, deputies reported, adding that alcohol was involved.
The two men were taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Forrest City.
Daniels, who was reportedly cut behind his right ear and on his left hand, was treated and released at BMH-FC. Henson, whose left ear was either "bitten or cut off" by Daniels, was transported by a private vehicle to Baptist Memphis, according to a BMH-FC spokesperson.
According to the report, neither subject planned to press charges when the original report was filed.
