Nancy M. Hodges, 65, of Michigan City, died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003, at Gateway Health Center, in Clarksville, Tenn.
Mrs. Hodges was born Dec. 12, 1937, in Michigan City, Ind., the daughter of Clarence Scott and Florence Hibner Obringer Scott Weigert. Mrs. Hodges was a homemaker and former co-owner of Cal's Pawn Shop in Forrest City.
On Jan. 31, 1970, Mrs. Hodges married Calvin Hodges, who survives her along with three sons, Michael Studtman, of Clarksville, Tenn., Jeff Studtman and Brian Studtman, both of Trail Creek, Tenn.; one daughter, Sue Firebaugh-Studtman, of Clarksville, Tenn.; two step-sons: Terry Hodges of Wheatfield, Ind., and Michael Hodges of Michigan City, Ind.; one step-daughter, Lynne Watling of Forrest City; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Steve Hodges, and four sisters, Karen Sue Scott, Patsy Scott, Sally Gasaway and Ruthie Proll.
Visitation for Mrs. Hodges will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003, and from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2003, at the Root Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2003, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Center officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
