William Smith

Mr. William Smith, age 63, of Forrest City, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003, at the Health Care and Rehabilitation Center of West Memphis.

Mr. Smith was born on March 10, 1940, in Forrest City and was a retired machinist. He is survived by three brothers, Louis Smith of Cleveland, Ohio, Edward Smith of Stockton, Calif. and Sylvester Tyson of Forrest City; seven sisters Emma L. Mooney, Elouis E. Wilson, Evelyn D. Johnson, Edna M. Lockhart and Geraldine Joplin all of Forrest City, Magnolia Wilson of Evanston, Ill. and Eva J. Neal of Irving, Texas.

Visitation for Mr. Smith will be held on Friday, Aug. 15, 2003, from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Clay Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003, at 2 p.m., at the New Light M.B. Church with Rev. Jesse McClure officiating. Burial will follow in Casteel Cemetery.


Hannah Wicks

Mrs. Hannah Wicks, age 94, of Forrest City, died Monday, Aug. 11, 2003, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.

Mrs. Wicks was born on Dec. 8, 1908, in Louisville, Miss. and was a retired house keeper. She is survived by many relatives and friends.

Visitation for Mrs. Wicks will be held on Friday, Aug. 15, 2003, from 12 to 5 p.m. at Clay Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003, at 10:30 a.m., at the Beth Salem M.B. Church with Rev. Rayfield Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Casteel Cemetery.
