Mrs. Lucy D. Farley, age 91, of Forrest City, died Monday, Aug. 18, 2003, at Crestpark Retirement Inn in Forrest City.
Mrs. Farley was born in St. Francis County, the oldest daughter of William G. Dooley and Addie Leatherood Dooley of Forrest City. She was a 1931 graduate of the Forrest City Schools and was a homemaker and former Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church. She was affiliated with Gulf Oil Refining Company where her late husband, A.M. Farley was regional corporate distributor. In 1970, the Farleys retired and moved to Heber Springs.
Mrs. Farley is survived by one sister, Lillian Hamilton of Forrest City and was preceded in death by two brothers, Gaither E. Dooley of Marianna and Finis R. Dooley of Mountain Home; two sisters, Virginia Dooley Castling of Marianna and Helen Thompson of Austin, Texas.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Farley will be held on
Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Forrest Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 1 p.m. to 1:45 prior
to the funeral in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home.
Mrs. Pearl Bizzell Willcutt, age 77, of Bethel Springs, Tenn., died Monday, Aug. 18, 2003, at her home.
Mrs. Willcutt was a member of First Baptist Church of Bethel Springs and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a retiree from ITT. She is survived by her husband, L.V. Willcutt; two daughters, Yvonne Hart and Sherri Payne, both of Bethel Springs, Tenn.; two sons, Ronnie Bizzell of Oneonta, Ala., and Gary Bizzell of Bethel Springs; four step-daughters, Shelia McCoy of Waverly, Tenn., Marilyn Smith of McNairy, Tenn., Carolyn Lewis of Selmer, Tenn., and Cathy Griffin of Savannah, Tenn.; three sisters, Gladys Gill of Selmer and Mary Helen Hobbs and Donna Faye Tarbutton, both of Forrest City; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Willcutt was preceded in death by a husband, John Ray Bizzell Jr.
Funeral services for Mrs. Willcutt will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Bethel Springs First Baptist Church with Harold King officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Bethel Springs. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
