Mr. Ed Brown, age 60, of Forrest City, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, at his home in Forrest City.
Mr. Brown was born Sept. 20, 1943, in Pine Bluff, the son of Herbert Brown and Alla May Crews Brown. He lived in St. Francis County most of his life, was a painter, a carpenter and a member of the Forrest City Church of God.
Mr. Brown married Connie Lofton in 1983 and she survives him along with six sons; Ed Brown Jr. of Gainesville, Texas, Nick Brown of Forrest City, Matthew Brown of Heber Springs, Paul Casey of Nashville, Tenn., and Chris Casey and Mike Casey both of Memphis; two daughters; Penny Ward and Camille Horton both of Heber Springs; two brothers, Robert Paigen of Forrest City and Rudy Brown of Enid, Miss.; two sisters, Carlene Russell of Stockton, Calif. and Naomi Hall of Enid, Miss.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation for Mr. Brown will be held on Friday, Dec. 5, 2003,
from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will
be held on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003, at 11 a.m. at the Forrest City
Church of God. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery.
Rev. Doctor William Brooks Dublin Jr., age 64, of Fairfield Bay, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003.
Dr. Dublin was a retired pastor of the United Methodist Church and served parishes in Tennessee, Virginia and Arkansas. He was a certified sports official and sports writer, most recently serving at the Sports Editor for the Sun-Times, in Heber Springs. He also received degrees from Brigham Young University, the Memphis Theological Seminary and the Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Dr. Dublin is survived by his wife, Rose; four daughters, Lee Anne Grace, Colleen Dublin and Mary K. Oglesby all of the Tupelo, Miss. area and Cynthia Brooks Ball of Oxford, Kan.; two stepdaughters, Denise Rice of Tulsa, Okla. and Lynette Edgar of Heber Springs; a stepson, Bob Hufford Jr. of Little Rock; 13 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Spencer Lea Dublin and Dr. William Brooks Dublin and his first wife, Dr. Mary Virginia Charlton.
Visitation for Dr. Dublin will be held on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Olmstead Funeral Home in Heber Springs. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 5, 2003, at 10 a.m., at Maranatha Assembly of God in Shirley. Burial will be held in Dillwyn, Va.

Mr. Elbert L. Milton, age 74, of Forrest City, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003, at Baptist Hospital in Memphis.
Mr. Milton, born Jan. 14, 1929, in Colt, was the son of Curtis L. Milton and Dolly Davis Milton. He lived in the Forrest City area for most of his life and was a farmer and equipment operator. Mr. Milton was a member of New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church.
Mr. Milton married Sarah A. Partain in 1950 and she preceded him in death in 2002. He is survived by a daughter, Gale Vaughn of Forrest City; a son, Curtis E. "Gene" Milton of Forrest City; a brother, Curtis Milton Jr., of Colt; two sisters, Mary Alice Milton Wilson and Brenda Milton Rushing, both of Wynne; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Milton was also preceded in death by three brothers, Dilbert, Pete and Harold Milton.
Visitation for Mr. Milton will be held on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 5, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Stevens' Chapel with burial following in Loughridge Cemetery in Colt.
