Mrs. Jimmie May Campbell, age 65, of Forrest City, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003, at her home.
Mrs. Campbell was born April 3, 1938, in Wynne. She was the daughter of Harvey James Altman and Lillie May Buckhannan Altman and was a housewife and a member of The Tabernacle of Jesus Church.
In 1956, Mrs. Campbell married James Alfred Campbell Sr. and he survives her along with five daughters, Betty Beene of West Memphis, Vickie Thomas of Forrest City, Karen Thomas and Charlotte Campbell, both of Wynne and Amanda Heard of West Memphis; three sons, James Campbell Jr. of Proctor, Bobby Campbell of Heber Springs and Carl Campbell of McKenzie, Tenn.; three brothers, J.W. Altman of Hughes, Carl "Gene" Altman of Booneville, Miss., and Bobby Altman of Polk, Fla.; five sisters, Ruby Woods of Wynne, Jinnie V. Fisher of Burnsville, Miss., Marie Hobbs of Chicago, Ill., Bessie Featherson of Iuka, Miss., and Bonnie Parker of Helena; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Campbell will be held on Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, at 2 p.m. in Steven's Chapel. Burial will follow in Harris Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Eldridge H. Cockrell, age 83, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, in Natchez, Miss.
Mr. Cockrell, was a retired Army lieutenant colonel and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict. Mr. Cockrell received both the Silver Star and the Bronze Star for his service during the Korean conflict. After retiring from the Army, Mr. Cockrell operated a real estate agency for more than 20 years in Decatur, Ala. He was a member of the Morgan County Association of Realtors and the Central United Methodist Church.
Mr. Cockrell is survived by his wife, Jan Cockrell; two daughters, Elizabeth Loeb of Forrest City and Ann Davis of West Bloomfield, Mich.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Mooney Cockrell.
Visitation for Mr. Cockrell will be held on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home in Decatur, Ala., with funeral services following at 3 p.m.

Mrs. Jessie Lucille McKee DeVasier Kilpatrick, age 62, of Wynne, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, at her residence in Wynne.
Mrs. Kilpatrick, born in 1941, in Wynne, was the daughter of Louise McKee Butler and Jessie Willard McKee. She worked for Sanyo for many years and also served as a riverboat cook and provided care for the elderly. She was a member of Pine Tree Baptist Church.
Mrs. Kilpatrick is survived by her husband, Norman Kilpatrick of the home; three daughters, Ramona Brumley and Tamera Logue, both of Wynne, and Tonya Henderson of Hickory Ridge; her mother; one brother, Lonnie McKee of Harrison; three step-children, Odus Kilpatrick, Lana Riggins and Doug Kilpatrick; and 15 grandchildren. Mrs. Kilpatrick was preceded in death by her father and a son, Aubrey Darrell Owens Jr.
Funeral services for Mrs. Kilpatrick were held on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home in Wynne. Burial followed at Barnishaw Cemetery in Pine Tree.
Mr. Lon Mann, age 78, of Marianna, died Friday, Dec. 5, 2003, in Nashville.
Mr. Mann, a native of Lee County, was a ginner and farmer. He was a graduate of the University of Arkansas and had served as president of the National Cotton Council, the National Ginners Association, the Mid-South Ginners Council and the Agricultural Council of Arkansas. He was a member of the Arkansas Agricultural Hall of Fame and received the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service's Cotton Achievement Award.
Mr. Mann is survived by his wife of 51 years, June Allen Beasley Mann of Marianna; four children, Dr. June Averyt of Memphis, Louise Mann of Fayetteville, Burkley Mann Allen of Nashville and William Cheairs "Bill" Mann of Memphis, and six grandchildren.
A memorial service for Mr. Mann was held on Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Marianna. Memorial gifts may be sent to the First Methodist Church, 59 S. Mrs. Minnie May Stimpson, age 82, of Hughes, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003, in West Memphis.
Mrs. Stimpson, a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church of Hughes, is survived by two daughters, Barbara Chrestman of Hughes and Betty Booth of Memphis; two sons, Donald Stimpson of Clarksville and Andy Stimpson of Hughes; a sister, Margaret Campbell of Forrest City; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation for Mrs. Stimpson was held on Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Roller-Citizens Funeral Home with burial following in Crittenden Memorial Park.
