Mrs. Zula Kennedy, age 88, of Forrest City, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2003, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.
Mrs. Kennedy was a retired nurses aid, a member of the Happy Dayers and a member of the Goodhope Baptist Church. She is survived by five daughters, Barclay J. Lackey, Peggy Kirby and Lucille Baker all of Forrest City, Frances M. Moore of Wynne and Mary Elizabeth Carter of McCrory; three sons, Gary Kennedy and L.W. "Dub" Kennedy both of Forrest City and Charles "Buddy" Kennedy; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Huey Kennedy.
Visitation services for Mrs. Kennedy will be held on Monday, Feb. 17, 2003, at Goodhope Baptist Church from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Goodhope Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Hughes Cemetery under the direction of the Roller-Citizens Funeral Home of West Memphis.
