Charlie Oliver Ellis

Mr. Charlie Oliver Ellis, age 85, of Michie, Tenn., died Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, in Hardin County General Hospital in Savannah, Tenn.

Mr. Ellis, born in Forrest City, was the owner of his own pulp wood cutting business and was member of the Childers Hill Pentecostal Church.

Mr. Ellis is survived by his wife, Neomi Terry Ellis; six daughters, Frances Jackson of Hazel Park, Mich., Anna Wilbanks and Barbara McAfee both of Michie, Tenn., Audrey Haire of St. Petersburg, Fla., Cathy Reeves of Cornith, Miss. and Melinda Ellis of Savannah, Tenn.; four sons, Charlie Oliver Ellis Jr., Madison Heights, Mich., Ray Ellis of Michie, Tenn., Paul Ellis of Muscle Shoals, Ala. and Tommy Ellis of Beech Bluff, Tenn.; two step-daughters, Dorothy Worthy of Washington, La. and Betty Vaughan of Baker, La.; two step-sons, Bob Sagely of Lakeland, Fla. and Charles Sagely of Michie, Tenn.; a sister, Lorene Baker of Water Valley, Miss.; a brother, Homer Ellis of Wheatley; 43 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Ellis were held on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, at Childers Hill Pentecostal Church in Harding County, Tenn. Burial followed in Center Hill Cemetery in Harding County, Tenn., under the direction of Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah, Tenn.


Katherine Ball Mitchusson

Mrs. Katherine "Kat" Ball Mitchusson, age 52, of Wynne, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, at the Regional Medical Center of Northeast Arkansas in Jonesboro.

Mrs. Mitchusson was born Oct. 7. 1950, in Wynne, the daughter of Loyd "Bud" Ball and Lavern Isom Ball of Wynne. She was a homemaker, and was employed by Sanyo and Addison Shoe Company. She was a member of the Harris Chapel Baptist Church.

In 1991, Mrs. Mitchusson married Danny L. Mitchusson of Wynne and he survives her along with her mother of Wynne; three sons, David Collins, Jason Mitchusson and Chad Mitchusson all of Wynne; three daughters, Kathy Lawrence and Kristy Marrs both of Wynne and Amy Richie of Conway; two sisters, Margaret Saylor of Heber Springs and Theresa Minton of Wynne; four brothers, Howard Ball, Danny Ball, Jimmy Ball and Jerry Ball all of Wynne; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation services for Mrs. Mitchusson were held on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, at the Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home in Wynne. Funeral services were held on Monday, Feb. 24, 2003, at 2 p.m. at the Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home in Wynne with Rev. Ellis Jones officiating. Burial followed in Loughridge Cemetery in Colt.
