Mr. Marlyce John Campbell, age 38, of Marianna, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2003, in Marianna. He was a laborer.
Mr. Campbell is survived by his wife, Knosurer Johnson Campbell; three daughters, JaLeesa Campbell, Carmen Campbell and Charity Campbell; his mother, Florida Campbell; four sisters, Lora Duffy, Francine Walker, Deberah Bland and Sandra Hadden; and five brothers, Ralph Campbell, Regional Campbell, Jerome Campbell, Melvin Campbell Jr. and Rodney Campbell.
Visitation services for Mr. Campbell will be held on Friday, Feb. 28, from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Chapel of J.E. Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2003, at 11 a.m. at the Corner Stone Church with Rev. Eddie King officiating. Burial will follow in Pilgrim Cemetery.
Mr. Lim Crawford, age 97, of Forrest City, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.
Mr. Crawford, born May 1, 1905, in Mississippi, was a retired carpenter. He is survived by a son, Leonard Jordan of Forrest City and seven grandchildren.
Visitation services for Mr. Crawford will be held on Friday, Feb. 28, 2003, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Funeral services for Mr. Crawford will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Union Grove M.B. Church with Rev. Ray Peals officiating. Burial will follow in Forrest City Cemetery.
Mr. Farrell Dean Huffman, age 68, of Conway died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003.
Mr. Huffman was born Nov. 26, 1934 in Jerusalem, the son of John Henry Huffman and Annie Elizabeth Scroggins. He was a Veteran of the Air Force and member of the Church of Christ in Jerusalem.
Mr. Huffman is survived by a daughter, Vickie Lane of Bigelow; a son, Larry Huffman of
Conway; two brothers, Jesse Huffman of Clinton and Bobby Huffman of Bryant; two sisters, Jerrell Boudra of Forrest City and Minnie Adams of Ola and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean; a daughter Cindy; five sisters and four brothers.
Funeral services for Mr. Huffman were held Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003, at 1 p.m. at Roller-McNutt Chapel in Conway with Bro. Roy Chatham officiating. Burial followed in Old Liberty Cemetery in Cleveland.
Mrs. Dora Lee McDaniels, of Forrest City, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003, at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis. She was a retired teacher.
Mrs. McDaniels is survived by a son, William McClendon of St. Louis, Mo.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Vistation services for Mrs. McDaniels will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2003, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the Christ Temple Pentecostal Church. Funeral services will be held following visitation at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Forrest City Cemetery, under the direction of J.E. Kennedy Funeral Home.
Mrs. Louise Thorn, age 85, of Palestine, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis.
Mrs. Thorn, born Dec. 15, 1917, in Colt, was a retired farmer. She is survived by a stepson, Robert Thorn Jr. of Colt and two grandchildren.
Visitation services for Mrs. Thorn will be held on Friday, Feb. 28, 2003, at Clay Funeral Home from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2003, at 11 a.m. Antioch M.B. Church with Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Stanley Grove Cemetery in Caldwell.
Mrs. Hattie Shurn Whiteside, age 89, of Colt, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2003, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.
Visitation services for Mrs. Whiteside will be held on Friday, Feb. 28, 2003, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Wynne and on Saturday, March 1, 2003, at the Lane Chapel C.M.E. Church from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2003, at the Lane Chapel C.M.E. Church at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Stanley Grove Cemetery in Colt.
