Weather permitting, the Forrest City White Mustangs will host West Memphis East tonight at Mustang Arena in a AAAAA-East junior high conference battle.
The White Mustangs are coming off a big 44-40 win over Jonesboro Annie Camp Monday night.
The East boys have not won a conference game this season and the first of Forrest City's two victories this season was against East in the first meeting.
On Friday, the Forrest City Blue Mustang teams will play West Memphis West at West in a game originally scheduled for tonight.
The junior high league will complete regular season play next week.
In games played Tuesday night, MacArthur used a big second quarter to ease past and upset league-leading Blytheville 44-37 in junior high boys' basketball.
MacArthur outscored Blytheville 19-6 in the second quarter to take a 25-18 halftime lead. The Cyclones led 33-30 after three quarters.
Matt Garner led MacArthur with 14 points. Mario Shelton added eight.
MacArthur won the eighth-grade boys' game 50-37.
In junior girls play, the FCity White Lady Mustangs have won just one conference game this season and will face East tonight. The East girls are in second place in the conference behind league-leading Annie Camp.
Tuesday night, Jordin Coleman hit six, three-pointers to lead MacArthur past Blytheville 60-12 in junior girls' basketball.
Coleman finished with 25 points to lead MacArthur (12-4, 8-2 AAAAA-East).
Cassie Huffer added 12 points for the Lady Cyclones, who led 17-2 after one quarter, 39-6 at halftime and 49-12 after three quarters
Dulin's Sports Academy, of Memphis, will host preseason youth baseball and softball clinics at East Arkansas Community College (EACC).
The baseball clinic will be held Saturday, March 8 and the softball clinic will be held Saturday, March 15.
