Mrs. Vera Edna Flood Heustess, age 84, of Richmond, Va., and formerly of Forrest City, died Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, in Richmond.
Mrs. Heustess, born March 9, 1918, in Perry County was the daughter of William A. Flood and Clara Barton Brown Flood. She lived in Forrest City for most of her life and was a housewife and a beautician. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Forrest City.
In 1941, Mrs. Heustess married Mack Heustess and he preceded her in death in 1987. She is survived by one daughter, Ella Claire Clark of Richmond, Va.; two brothers, Riefford Flood of Lubbock, Texas, and O'Neal Flood of Willow Springs, Mo.; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Heustess will be held on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home with Rev. Benny Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Forrest Park Cemetery. Visitation services will be held prior to the funeral from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Stevens Funeral Home.
