Mrs. Ruthie M. Bradford, age 78, of Manteca, Calif., and formerly of Memphis, died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2003 at Doctor's Hospital in Manteca, Calif. She was a beauty consultant.
Mrs. Bradford was born March 17, 1924, in Forrest City. She is survived by her six sons, Lucious Clay Poole of Las Vegas, Nev., Joe Williams of Forrest City, John David Williams, Glenn Earl Williams and Andre Williams, all of Memphis, and Charles Alvin Williams of Manteca, Calif.; two brothers, James Swift of Memphis and Rev. William Swift of Detroit, Mich.; 22 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Bradford will be held on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, from 1 to 7 p.m. at P.L. Frye and Sons Funeral Home of Manteca, Calif. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 24, 2003 at 1 p.m. at the Ebenezer A.M.E. Church in Stockton, Calif. Burial will follow in Park View Cemetery in Manteca, Calif.
Mr. Kameron Lamar Green, age 12, of Colt, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003, at his home.
Mr. Green is survived by his parents, Will and Lynett Green, both of the home; his grandparents, John Dillard, Arlene Breathitt, Will Breathitt and Georgia Breathitt, all of Colt; a sister, Jasmin Houston; and three brothers Devin Green, Ryan Green and Daramine Houston.
Visitation for Mr. Green will be held on Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at the Moores Chapel C.M.E. Church in Colt from 1 to 5 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003 at 1 p.m. at the Moores Chapel C.M.E. Church in Colt. Burial will follow in Clark Cemetery. The J.E. Kennedy Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
Mrs. Dora Rogers, age 97, of East Chicago, Ind. and formerly of Madison, died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2003, at St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago.
Mrs. Rogers is survived by seven daughters, Vivian West, Alemedia Sanders and Dora Dean, all of East Chicago, Cleo Prince of Gary, Ind., Hattie Crawford of West Memphis, Ethel Butler of Widener, and Daisy Brown of Memphis; one son, Andrew Rogers of Madison; 43 grandchildren; 128 great-grandchildren; and 51 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at 1 p.m. at the Beth Salem M. B. Church in Forrest City. Burial will follow in Casteel Cemetery. Anthony Funeral Home of West Memphis is in charge of all arrangements.
