Mr. Thomas Morgan Craig, age 71, of Forrest City, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at his daughter's home in Palestine.
Mr. Craig was born July 15, 1931, in Parkin, the son of Claude Craig and Lula Butts Craig. He lived in St. Francis County most of his life, was retired from Yale Industrial Products, a veteran of the Korean War and was a Baptist.
Mr. Craig married Mable Eldridge in 1955 and she preceded him in death in 1995. He is survived by one daughter, Tracey Fleetwood of Palestine; two sisters, Agnes Lovelady of Parkin and Ruby Walters of Arlingen, Texas; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held for Mr. Craig on Monday, Jan. 27, 2003 at 2 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Burial followed in Forrest Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Ellen Clary Lunsford, age 88, of Hughes, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, in Hughes. She was a resident of Hughes since 1936, self-employed owner and operator of Ellen's Gift Shop, a past president and charter member of the Town and Country Garden Club and a member of the Hughes First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Lunsford is survived by her daughter, Barbara Bernard of Hughes; two sons, Clary Lunsford on Memphis and Dickie Lunsford of Little Rock; a sister, Loreta Fish of Star City; a brother, John Clary of Dumas; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Lunsford.
Visitation for Mrs. Lunsford was held Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, at the Roller-Citizens Funeral Home of West Memphis. Services were held on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, at the Hughes First United Methodist Church. Burial followed in Crittenden Memorial Park.
The family requests that memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church of Hughes.
Mrs. Bessie Mae Parker McKnight, age 68, of Forrest City, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.
Mrs. McKnight was born June 23, 1934, in Marks, Miss., the daughter of Anderson Boyd and Veatrice Boyd.
Mrs. McKnight is survived by her husband, Arnold McKnight of Forrest City; two sons, Willie Parker Sr. of Chicago, Ill. and Anderson Parker of Forrest City; four step-daughters, Essie Camel of Chicago, Ill., Eula Mae Powell of Three Rivers, Mich., Charlene Parker and Mandy Parker both of Forrest City; three step-sons, Johnnie Rice of Chicago, Ill., Johnny Parker and Adolph Parker both of Forrest City; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation for Mrs. McKnight will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, from 12 to 5 p.m. at Woodhouse Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003 at 11 a.m. at Days Temple Church with Rev. Julius Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Forrest Cemetery.
