Earnest Phillips

Mr. Earnest Phillips, age 64, of Forrest City, died Tuesday, July 8, 2003, in Forrest City.

Mr. Phillips, born April 29, 1939, in Heth, was a retired farmer. He is survived by his wife, Lizzie B. Phillips of Forrest City; three sons, Voundail Phillips of Japan, David Phillips and Timothy Walker, both of Forrest City; four daughters, Brenda Hemphill, Mae Frances Phillips and Delois Gardner, all of Forrest City and Helen Smith of Macon, Ga.; two brothers, L.D. Phillips and J.W. Phillips, both of Forrest City; two sisters, Norma Johnson of St. Louis, Mo., and Cleola Phillips of Forrest City; and 21 grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Phillips will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2003, at 1 p.m. at Williams Temple Church of God in Christ with Elder Ransom Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Paradise Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Clay Funeral Home.


Ivonette Rolland

Mrs. Ivonette Rolland of Forrest City, died Friday, July 11, 2003, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.

Mrs. Rolland is survived by her husband, Cecil Rolland of the home; a son, Kim Rolland of Widener; and a daughter, Amy Belcher of Wynne.

Visitation for Mrs. Rolland will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2003, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 14, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Second Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Forrest Park Cemetery.
