Mary G. Logan

Mrs. Mary G. Logan, age 87, of Arlington, Texas, died Saturday, July 12, 2003, at an Arlington hospital.

Mrs. Logan was born June 4, 1916, in Forrest City. She is survived by her husband, Peter Logan of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sons, H. Lee Logan of Ridgeland, S.C. and Thomas G. Logan of Waco, Texas; one daughter, Gale G. Logan of Hamilton, Ohio; a brother, Chambliss Gatling of Memphis, Tenn.; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several other family members and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Logan were held on Thursday, July 17, 2003, at 2 p.m. at the Saint Mary the Virgin Catholic Church in Arlington, Texas. Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 18, 2003, at 3 p.m. in Forrest Park Cemetery. The Moore Funeral Home of Arlington, Texas is in charge of all arrangements.


Otis Townsend Jr.

Mr. Otis Townsend Jr., age 46, of Forrest City, died Sunday, July 13, 2003, at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis. He was a retired forklift operator and was born Sept. 7, 1956.

Mr. Townsend is survived by his mother, Elzada Townsend of Forrest City; a son, Roderick Townsend of Forrest City; two daughters, Robbie Cole of Forrest City and Felisha Simons of West Memphis; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation for Mr. Townsend will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2003, from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Clay Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the Beth Salem Baptist Church on Friday, July 18, 2003, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Vernon Faulkner officiating. Burial will follow in Casteel Cemetery.


Larry D. White

Mr. Larry D. White, age 51, of Forrest City, died Thursday, July 10, 2003, at his home.

Mr. White was born Nov. 20, 1951, in Forrest City, the son of Lee White Sr. and Thelma Waddy White.

Mr. White is survived by his wife, Lisa Roebuck White of Forrest City; a son, Marlon White of Denver, Colo.; two stepsons, Demetrius Roebuck and Demario Roebuck, both of Forrest City; two stepdaughters, Erica Roebuck and Granette Roebuck both of Forrest City; three sisters, Verna Robinson of Richmond, Calif., Deloris Reed of Silverspring, Md. and Joyce White of Forrest City; two brothers, Lee White Jr. of Memphis and Anthony White of St. Louis, Mo.; two grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation for Mr. White will be held on Friday, July 18, 2003, from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Woodhouse Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2003, at 1 p.m. at the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with Rev. Connie Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Paradise Gardens in Edmondson.
