Ann Campbell Jarratt

Mrs. Ann Campbell Jarratt, age 83, of Forrest City, died Wednesday, July 23, 2003, at her home.

Mrs. Jarratt, born July 23, 1920, in Forrest City, was the daughter of W.W. Campbell and Victoria Mann Campbell. She made her home in Forrest City for all of her life and she was a homemaker and a longtime employee of First National Bank of Eastern Arkansas. Mrs. Jarratt was an active member of the Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church and was also a member of the PEO, Garden Gate Garden Club, Musical Coterie and a past member of the Forrest City Junior Auxiliary.

Mrs. Jarratt was the wife of Dennis Young Jarratt and he preceded her in death in 1998. She is survived by a son, Denny Jarratt of Forrest City; two grandsons; one great-grandchild; and one niece.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Jarratt will be held on Friday, July 25, 2003, at 10 a.m. at Forrest Park Cemetery with Rev. Denton McLellan officiating.

The family requests memorials be made to St. Jude or Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church. Steven's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.


Ophelia Love Turner

Mrs. Ophelia Love Turner, age 73, of Colt, died Tuesday, July 22, 2003, at Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis.

Mrs. Turner is survived by one son, Mitchell Love of Colt; three daughters, Macilinda Morris and Regina Cottrell, both of Rockford, Ill., and Sally Renae Meabon of Colt; two sisters, Retha Faye Gilbert of Forrest City and Juanita Cobb of Colt and three brothers, Calvin Smith of St. Louis, Mo., Jonathan Smith of South Bend, Ind., and Lavertis Cobb of Colt.

Visitation services for Mrs. Turner will be held on Friday, July 25, 2003, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home in Wynne. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Moores Chapel C.M.E. Church in Colt with Pastor Elijah Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Clark Cemetery.
