Mr. Arthur Bruce Buck Jr., age 86, of Little Rock, died Wednesday, July 30, 2003. He was born in Memphis, the son of Arthur Bruce Buck Sr. and Lola Richardson Buck.
Mr. Buck served in the Navy in World War II, was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after 43 years, was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and a long time member of the First United Methodist Church in Forrest City.
Mr. Buck is survived by his wife of 60 years, Virginia Davidson Buck; two sons, Bruce Buck of Hope and Brantly Buck of Little Rock; a sister, Cordelia Buck Stumberg of St. Charles, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Aug. 1, 2003, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Ruebel Funeral Home in Little Rock with Rev. Walter Smith and Rev. Louann Murphy officiating. A graveside service will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.
The family requests that memorials be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, Mississippi and Evergreen, Little Rock, Ark. 72207; Central Arkansas Library System, 100 Rock St., Little Rock, Ark., 72201; or a favorite charity.
Mr. Jerry Gerome Jones, age 43, of Forrest City, died on Monday, July 28, 2003 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Forrest City.
Mr. Jones, the son of Julius W. Jones Sr., of Forrest City and Mary Harris Jones, of Madison. He was born July 18, 1960 in Forrest City and is survived by his parents; one daughter, Chaundreka Graham of Oklahoma City, Okla.; four sisters, Barbara Winfrey, of Oklahoma City, Okla., Patricia Davis, Casandra Jones and Sharon Jones, all of Forrest City; four brothers, Emmitt C. Jones, Julius W. Jones Jr., and Calvin Jones, all of Forrest City and Kenneth Jones of Madison; three grandchildren and several other relatives and friends.
Visitation services for Mr. Jones will be held on Friday, Aug. 1, 2003, from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Woodhouse Mortuary Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Woodhouse Mortuary with Elder John H. Jennings officiating. Burial will follow in Scott Bond Cemetery.
Mr. Donald Eugene "Donnie" McLaughlin, age 43, of Forrest City, died Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at the Med in Memphis. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.
