Mr. Roy Floyd Nelson Lisk, age 71, of Caldwell, died Monday, July 7, 2003, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Mr. Lisk, born April 17, 1932, in Black Oak, was the son of Herbert Floyd Lisk and Oma Camp Tate Lisk. He attended school in Caraway and was a longtime resident of Caraway. Mr. Lisk was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during the Korean conflict and was a truck driver for the city of Forrest City for eight years before retiring nine years ago. He attended Rolfe Chapel Assembly of God Church in Wynne.
On March 1, 1954, Mr. Lisk married Elaine Bryant Lisk and she survives him along with two sons, Clayton Lisk of San Diego, Calif., and Carter Lisk of Wynne; two daughters, Charlotte Allen of Cookeville, Tenn., and Cheryl Stapler of Wynne; one brother, J.H. Lisk of Jonesboro and nine grandchildren. Mr. Lisk was preceded in death by a son, Nelson Lisk, in 1957, and a daughter Christy Lisk in 1969.
Funeral services for Mr. Lisk will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Wynne with Rev. Donnie Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Lindsey Cemetery in Forrest City.
The family requests memorials be made to Rolfe Chapel Assembly of God Church in Wynne.
Mr. James Anthony "Tony" Summers Sr., age 43, of Earle, died Monday, July 7, 2003, at his home.
Mr. Summers, born Oct. 17, 1959, in Abilene, Texas, was the son of William Naul Summers and Delzie Ambrose Day. He lived in Forrest City for most of his life and had been in management of food stores. He attended the Assembly of God Church.
In 2002, Mr. Summers married Leesa Wallace and she survives him along with one son, James Summers Jr. of Pensacola, Fla.; one daughter, Susan Peregory of Memphis; a step-son, Michael Morris of California; a step-daughter, Kimberly Anne Morris of Tennessee; his parents, Ben Day and Delzie Day; his maternal grandmother, Bessie Ambrose; three brothers, Carroll Summers of Marion, William "Will" Summers of Forrest City and Ben Day Jr., of West Memphis; one sister, Jeana Wilson of Forrest City and two grandchildren.
Visitation services for Mr. Summers will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2003, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2003, at 11 a.m. in Steven's Chapel. Burial will follow in Forrest Park Cemetery.
