There were no surprises in the Bambino 9-10 League Tuesday night.
Mr T Auto continued their quest for a perfect season by taking a 13-3 win over National Carpet One and Cochran Auto won for the fifth straight time, putting away Derrick CPA 16-1. Cochran remains a solid second place while Joey's Muffler improved to 7-4 for the year with a 17-6 win over Arkansas Electric.
In the league's final game, Giffin's Grins put down Sanyo 13-5.
National Carpet jumped to a quick 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning but the remainder of the game belonged to Mr T (10-0) who scored the next 13 runs, led by Devin Green, Davyon McKinney, Chatman Tucker, Larry Smith and Ryan Green, all scoring two runs each.
National Carpet got single runs from Louis Bryant, Jerrod Brown and Blake Lester.
Daniel Perry led Cochran by scoring three times and got plenty of help as each one of the Cochran starters scored at least one run.
Jarvis Bolden, Xavier Banks, Marcus Scott, Rico Spears, Deonta Hurst and Brandyn Gadberry plated two runs each.
Caleb Sugg scored the only run for Derrick CPA, which slips to 6-5 for the year.
Lloyd Hamilton and Dusty Smith each had a bog night for Joey's, as both players scored three runs in their team's win over Arkansas Electric.
Cadarius Parchman, Antonio Peters, Demond Watson, Joewaan Mitchell and Jacques Daniels all scored twice.
Arkansas Electric got two runs from Michael Ludwig and single runs from Jordan Chatters, A.J. Martin, Tyler McElroy and William Whittenton.
Giffin's scored six runs in the bottom of the first inning and added seven more in the third to put down Sanyo.
Antonio Sanders, Justin Crawford, RoRo Steverson, Kyiler King, Chance Vaughn and Demarcus Fingers all crossed home plate two times in the win.
Dontae Brown led Sanyo with two runs.
*In Minor League action Tuesday T&J Properties moved to 10-0 for the year by taking a 13-2 win over Easley Law and the Lion's Club downed Food Giant 14-3.
*In the girls' 10-under slow-pitch softball league, Dr. Schwartz and Food Giant continued their chase for the American Division title as each won their Tuesday night game.
Schwartz rolled over Sanyo 14-3 while Food Giant put down Walker Insurance 12-4.
Both teams are 10-2 for the year with two games remaining to be played.
The league championship game is scheduled for Friday, June 27.
Stevens can clinch the National Division title Friday night with a win over Walker Insurance.
Taylor Billingsley, Caroline Nimocks and Kaitlyn Peterson led Stevens by scoring two runs each as Stevens downed Title Company 10-1 Tuesday to improve to 11-1 for the year.
Walker Insurance slipped against Food Giant, falling to 9-3 for the year.
In other 10-under games played Tuesday, Southern Furniture improved to 4-8 for the year by defeating Pizza Inn 10-7 and Forrest City Bank was awarded a forfeit win over True Value.
*In the postseason T-Ball Tournament being played at the Sports Complex, Perkin's Premolars was given a forfeit win over First National Bank but later lost to Boar's Head 15-3 as Trey Norment scord three runs. Every Boar's Head player scored at least one run.
Bonanza got two runs from six of its eight players in a big 14-12 win over Long Real Estate while SWilson CPA defeated Wilson Law 22-20 to remain in the hunt for the postseason title.
Imboden family Dentistry ousted Western Auto 22-12.
The tournament continues Thursday night and Friday night.
