Edna Bishop Edgar

Mrs. Edna Bishop Edgar, age 91, of Forrest City, died Saturday, March 15, 2003, at her home.

Mrs. Edgar was born Jan. 20, 1912, in Hardeman County, Tenn, the daughter of Hosie Lee Bishop and Annie Taylor Bishop. She lived in Forrest City most of her life, was a housewife, and a member of the Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Edgar married James T. Edgar in 1951, and he preceded her in death in 1985. She is survived by one daughter, Pam Edgar Morledge of Forrest City; one son, James T. Edgar Jr. of Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Virginia Bishop Woods of Hickory Valley, Tenn.; one brother, Drewey Bishop of Hickory Valley, Tenn.; and six grandchildren.

Graveside services for Mrs. Edgar will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Forrest Park Cemetery with Father Tom Newman officiating. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

The family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude or to Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church.


Charlene Yvonne Munn

Mrs. Charlene Yvonne Munn, age 63, of Forrest City, died Friday, March 14, 2003, at Crittenden Memorial Hospital in West Memphis.

Mrs. Munn was born Feb. 8, 1940, in Wynne, the daughter of Bill Moore and Bessie Luker Moore. She lived in Forrest City for most of her life, was a housewife and a member of the Second Baptist Church.

Mrs. Munn married Sam Munn in 1957, and he survives her along with one daughter, Annette Pilcher of West Memphis; one son, Steve Munn of Jackson, Miss., and four grandchildren.

Visitation services for Mrs. Munn will be held on Monday, March 17, 2003, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at Forrest Park Cemetery.

The family requests memorials be made to the American Lung Association, 61 Broadway, New York, New York 10006, or 1-800-LUNGUSA.


Anne Wilford

Mrs. Anne Wilford, age 62, of Sugar Land, Texas, died Thursday, March 13, 2003, in Laurel, Miss.

Mrs. Wilford was an active member of the Houston Baptist University Guild and a member of the Sugar Land First United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Wilford is survived by her husband, Dan Wilford of the home; her daughter, Kelly Harb of Knoxville, Tenn.; a son, Jeff Wilford of New Braunfels, Texas; two sisters, Susan Purifoy and Billie Jean McGinnis; six grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation services for Mrs. Wilford will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at Geo. H. Lewis and Sons Funeral Home in Houston, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2003, at 10 a.m. at Sugar Land First United Methodist Church in Sugar Land, Texas with Rev. W. Martin Nicholas officiating.
