Mrs. Tonya Taylor Baker, age 25, of Mountain View, died Sunday, March 23, 2003, at the Elvis Presley Trauma Center in Memphis.
Mrs. Baker was born on August 13, 1977, the daughter of Travis "Sonny" Taylor and Deanna Raines. She was a housewife and a Baptist.
Mrs. Baker is survived by her parents; her husband, Clarence Baker of Mountain View; three sons, Zackary Colbert of Hickory Ridge, Jacob Colbert of Forrest City and Caleb Baker of Wynne; three daughters, Taylor Colbert and Mary Margaret "Molly" Baker both of the home and Caitlin Baker of Wynne; two brothers, Jason Taylor of Forrest City and Chuck Taylor of Wynne, and one sister, Sarah Katie Taylor of Wynne.
Visitation for Mrs. Baker will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2003, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Morgan Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 28, 2003, at 2 p.m. in Morgan Chapel with Bro. Gary Woodard of Madison Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery near Wynne.
Mrs. Evelena "Sally" Poke, age 78, of Palestine, died Saturday, March 22, 2003, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Forrest City.
Mrs. Poke, born Feb. 8, 1925 in Palestine, was the daughter of Charlie Walker and Allie Freeman Walker. She is survived by three daughters, Fredia King, Tony Poke and Neshell Poke, all of Kansas City, Mo.; two sons, Gene Williams of St. Louis, Mo., and Jerry Poke of Palestine; one brother, Moses Walker of St. Louis, Mo.; 22 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Visitation services for Mrs. Poke will be held on Friday, March 28, 2003, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Chapel of Woodhouse Mortuary. Funeral services for Mrs. Poke will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Jericho Church of God in Christ with Elder Nathaniel Pendleton officiating. Burial will follow in Jericho Cemetery.
