Albert Brown Jr.

Mr. Albert Brown Jr., age 70, of Madison, died Monday, March 3, 2003, at Crittenden Memorial Hospital in West Memphis.

Mr. Brown, born Nov. 10, 1932, in Marianna, was the son of Albert Brown Sr. and Zelda McDowell. He is survived by four daughters, Gail Brown, Sarda Crumpler and Desiray McBee, all of Rochester, N.Y., and Ema Jean Polk of Flint, Mich.; three sons, John Albert Brown of Forrest City, Edward J. Brown and Lundie Brown, both of Rochester, N.Y.; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services for Mr. Brown will be held Friday, March 7, 2003, at noon in the Chapel of Woodhouse Mortuary with Rev. James Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in Scott Bond Cemetery.


Anna Marie Huckaba

Mrs. Annie Marie Huckaba, age 92, of Palestine, died Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at her home.

Mrs. Huckaba, born September 16, 1910, in Carroll County Mississippi, the daughter of Oscar Rayford Mathews and Ella Leona Dunn Mathews. She was a member of the Walls Chapel Baptist Church and was a housewife.

In 1928 Mrs. Huckaba married Floyd Huckaba and he preceded her in death in 1987. She is survived by one son, Wayne Huckaba of Forrest City; five daughters, Velma Clay of Memphis, Venia Waddill of Olive Branch, Miss., Ruth Devasier of Memphis, Florine Turnage of Southaven and Wanda Fisher of Jonesboro; 3 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation services for Mrs. Huckaba will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2003, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 7, 2003, at 10 a.m. in Steven's Chapel with Rev. Dan Minton officiating. Burial will follow in Bell Cemetery.


David C. Reeves

Mr. David C. Reeves, age 87, of Palestine, died Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.

Mr. Reeves was born Nov. 2, 1915, in Palestine, the son of Jim Reeves and Mae Cross Reeves. He lived in Palestine for all of his life, was a farmer and was a founding member of The Original Church of God at Mars Hill.

Mr. Reeves married Opal D. Amerson in 1938, and she survives him along with three sons, Ronald Reeves, Jerry Reeves and Jim Reeves all of Palestine; one daughter, Carole Reeves Baker of Palestine; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded by one grandchild, David Andrew Reeves, in 1969.

Visitation services for Mr. Reeves will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2003, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 7, 2003, at 2 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Brinkley. Burial will follow in Mars Hill Cemetery.


William Len Tabron

Mr. William Len Tabron, age 63, of Forrest City, died Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at Methodist Healthcare in Memphis.

Mr. Tabron, born Feb. 12, 1940, in Blytheville, was the son of John Tabron and Rodessa Jones Tabron. He is survived by his wife, Hazel O'Bryant Tabron of Forrest City; two sons, Barry L. Tabron of Davenport, Iowa; Gregory L. Tabron of Cedar Hill, Texas; three sisters, Clustine Bouie of Little Rock, Dorothy Twillie of Burlington, Conn., Jacqueline Wade of Caldwell and one grandson.

Visitation services for Mr. Tabron will be held on Friday, March 7, 2003, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Woodhouse Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2003, at Rising Sun M.B. Church with Rev. John Strong officiating.
