Mr. Ether Bert "E.B." Jones, age 85, of Heth, died Thursday, May 8, 2003, at Crittenden Memorial Hospital in West Memphis.
Mr. Jones was born March 23, 1918 in Rankin, Miss., the son of Charlie Jones and Ola Summer Jones. He is survived by his wife Everlina Kennor Jones of Heth; seven daughters, Jennie Seawood of Heth, Mary Brown of Dayton, Ohio, Ethel Jennings of Carson, Calif., Martha Murray, Ola Latham and Ruby Williams all of Buffalo, N.Y., and Odessa Thomas of Tacoma, Wash.; four sons, Charlie Jones and Melvin Jones both of Los Angeles, Calif., John Henry Jones of Lawton, Okla. and Lydell Jones of West Memphis; 28 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation for Mr. Jones will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2003, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Woodhouse Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2003, at 12 p.m. at the New Bethel Church of God in Christ with Elder John H. Jennings officiating. Burial will follow in Paradise Garden Cemetery.
