Mrs. Carrie Kathleen Dodd Dearing, age 75, of Forrest City died Tuesday, May 6, 2003, at Baptist Hospital - East in Memphis.
Mrs. Dearing was born July 24, 1927, in Viola, the daughter of Dale Hames and Gladys Holstein Hames. She lived in Forrest City for most of her life and was a housewife and a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Forrest City.
Mrs. Dearing married Charlie Dearing in 1946, and he preceded her in death in 1991. She is survived by two sons, Larry Dearing and Kenneth Dearing both of Forrest City; two sisters, Margaret Ann Taylor of Viola and Sharon Reeves of Kansas City, Mo.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation services for Mrs. Dearing will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2003, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2003, at 2 p.m. in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Forrest Park Cemetery.
