Mr. Donnie Jessie Carson, age 55, of Dallas, Texas, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2003, at the Dallas V.A. Medical Center.
Mr. Carson was born April 6, 1948, in Madison, the son of the late Jessie Carson and Neverda Strong Carson. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School and a veteran of the United States Navy. Mr. Carson worked at IBM in San Jose, Calif. for 18 years and spent six years in Dallas as a technician.
Mr. Carson is survived by his wife, Enover Fowlks Carson of Little Rock; two daughters, Belinda Carson of Palo Alto, Calif. and Alisha Carson of Dallas; a son Efferm Carson; 10 sisters, Betty Huff and Sylvia Carson both of Forrest City, Bessie Hampton, Hattie Carson, Francis Jones, Latrina Carson and Linda Brown all of Dallas, Vickie Newborn of Colt, Theressia Carson of Lansing, Mich. and Patrica Carson of Palo Alto, Calif. She is also survived by three brothers, Raymond Carson of Little Rock, and Jerry Carson and Michael Carson both of Palo Alto, Calif.; six grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation for Mr. Carson will be held this evening, Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Woodhouse Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2003, at 1 p.m. at the United Christian Church with Rev. Norris Latham officiating. Burial will follow in Stanley Grove Cemetery.
