Mr. Charles Franklin "Chuck" Luker, age 57, of Breaux Bridge, La., died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2003, at Lafayette General Hospital in Lafayette, La.
Mr. Luker was born July 4, 1946, in Batesville, the son of Marcus Luker and Christine Covey Luker Cossy. He lived in St. Francis County until moving to Louisiana in 1981 and was a carpenter.
Mr. Luker married Jackie Martin in 1966 and she survives him along with one son, Anthony Keith Luker of Carencro, La.; his mother of Wynne; a brother, Jerry Luker; a sister, Sandy Cranford; and a granddaughter.
Visitation for Mr. Luker will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2003, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forrest Park Cemetery.
Mr. Thomas L. Taylor, age 70, of Caldwell, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2003.
Mr. Taylor was born March 8, 1933, in Colt, the son of James T. Taylor and Nona Johnson Taylor. He had lived in St. Francis County all of his life and was a contractor and a veteran of the Korean War.
Mr. Taylor married Carol Sue Busby in 1953 and she survives him along with two daughters, Brenda Howard of Palestine and Deborah Marrs of Millington, Tenn.; three sons, Barry Taylor, David Taylor and Daniel Taylor all of Forrest City; a sister, Virginia Haynes of Palestine; a brother, Billy Joe Taylor of North Carolina; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Taylor will be held on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Hughes Cemetery in Forrest City. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
