Kennith D. Lea

Mr. Kennith D. Lea, age 86, of Forrest City and formerly of Tulip, died Friday, Nov. 21, 2003, at Crestpark Retirement Inn in Forrest City.

Mr. Lea was born Feb. 11, 1917, in Dallas County, the son of Ira E. Lea and Edan Green Lea. He was a retired mechanic, a Mason and a member of the Tulip Methodist Church.

Mr. Lea is survived by his wife, Onie Walton Ray Lea of Malvern; two sons, Charles Dean Lea of Pensacola, Fla. and Donald Ray Lea of Holcomb, Miss.; a daughter, Linda Lea Wilson of Forrest City; a step-daughter, Virginia Ray Lea of Malvern; a brother, Wayne Lea of Malvern; three sisters, Juanita Owings and Willie Ruth Stephens both of Kountze, Texas and Shelby Jo Rood of Malvern; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by both his parents and his first wife, Georgia Mae Robertson Lea.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Nov. 24, 2003, at 11 a.m., at Tulip Methodist Church, with Rev. Rick Bolin officiating. Burial followed in Tulip Cemetery under the direction of Benton Funeral Home, Inc., of Fordyce.
