Mr. Willie B. Robinson, age 51, of Heth, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003, at Baptist Hospital East in Memphis. He is survived by his mother, Rosie Lee Robinson of Heth and a brother, William Robinson of Heth.
Visitation for Mr. Robinson will be held on Friday, Nov. 7,
2003, from 6 to 8 p.m., in the Chapel of Anthony Funeral Home
South in West Memphis. Funeral services will be held on Saturday,
Nov. 8, 2003, at 1:30 p.m. at Friendship M.B. Church in Heth,
Burial will follow in Jackson Cemetery in Heth.
Mr. Floyd Thurston, age 79, of Minneapolis, Minn., died Friday, Oct. 31, 2003.
Mr. Thurston, formerly of Forrest City, was born May 9, 1924, in Canfield. He was the son of James and Exia Thurston. Mr. Thurston was an employee of Freeway Dodge for 28 years. In 1959, he married Ruth Smiley and she survives him along with two sons, Floyd Thurston Jr., of Minneapolis, Minn., and Robert Thurston of Jacksonville; four daughters, Teresa Washington of Minneapolis, Minn., Rogenia Beaver of St. Louis, Mo., Floyda Thurston-Williams of Forrest City, and Bernita Mosby Meeks of Paramount, Calif.; three brothers, James Thurston and Lloyd Thurston, both of Minneapolis, Minn., and Ruby Thurston of Erie, Pa.; a sister, Lula Murl Butler of Kansas City, Mo.; four grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Allen Thurston.
Funeral services for Mr. Thurston will be held on Friday, Nov.
7, 2003, at 2 p.m. at First Memorial Chapel in Minneapolis, Minn.
Mrs. Arizona Freeman Walker, age 82, of Palestine, died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2003, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis.
Mrs. Walker born July 4, 1921, in Brownsville, Tenn., was the daughter of Henry Freeman and Jannie Pye Freeman. She is survived by eight daughters, Catherine Akins, Alma McDonald, and Carla Allen, all of Forrest City, Clover Montgomery and Sharon Thomas, both of St. Louis, Mo., London Bonds of Lawrence, Kan., Charlotte McDaniel and Regina Knox, both of Palestine; one son, James Walker of St. Louis, Mo.; 35 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Walker will be held on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Chapel of Woodhouse Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Nov. 10, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Elcannon M.B. Church with Rev. Kimbley Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Jericho Cemetery.
