Mr. James Ray "Jim" Alderson, age 77, of Forrest City, died Friday, Oct. 10, 2003, at his home.
Visitation for Mr. Alderson will be held on Sunday, Oct. 12,
2003, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Oct. 13, 2003, at 11
a.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Mr. Walter E. "Stevie" Stevens III, age 61, of Forrest City, died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.
Mr. Stevens was born July 1, 1942, in Forrest City, the son of Walter E. Stevens Jr. and Sara Weston Rauscher. He was the owner and operator of Stevens Funeral Home and was a licensed funeral director and embalmer. He was a member of Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church and was a past chairman and board member of Selected Funeral and Life Insurance Company and Selected Financial Corporation. Mr. Stevens was also a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity at Fayetteville, a past board member of the Arkansas State Golf Association and a member of the Old Waverly Golf Club.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Scarlett Cornwell Stevens in 1990.
Mr. Stevens married Lisa Scott in 1994 and she survives him along with two daughters, Sara Ashley Stevens of Memphis and Blair Elizabeth Stevens of Austin, Texas; and a sister, Edwene Stevens McCollum of Forrest City. Funeral services for Mr. Stevens will be held on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in Forrest Park Cemetery.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church, American Heart Association and the Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Mr. L.M. "Bud" Wright, age 66, of Forrest City, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003, at his home in Forrest City.
Mr. Wright was born Sept. 17, 1937, in Palestine, the son of L.M. Wright Sr. and Mabel Irene Breedin Wright. He lived in Forrest City for most of his life and was a carpenter.
Mr. Wright married Ruby Virginia Westmoreland in 1971 and she survives him along with four sons, Tommy Wright, Joe Wright, Larry Wright and Bobby Wright, all of Forrest City; four brothers, Robert Wright of Bayhalia, Miss., Donald Wright of Memphis, Billy Wright of Collierville, Tenn. and Soloman Wright of Forrest City; four sisters, Toby Weatherly of West Memphis, Janice Mitchell of Trenton, Tenn., Betty Nelson of Kansas City, Mo. and Ann Nichols of Stradford, Mo.; and three grandchildren.
