Mr. Louis A. Dinwiddie, age 18, of Forrest City, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2003, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis. He was a carpet installer.
Mr. Dinwiddie is survived by his mother, Myra Rena Stanback of Forrest City; his great-grandmother Ollie Johnson of Forrest City; three sisters, Shiquita Stanback, Bianca Hall and Jacqueline Hall all of Forrest City; and a brother, Caleb Hall of Forrest City. He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Dinwiddie Jr.
Visitation for Mr. Dinwiddie will be held on Friday, Oct. 17,
2003, from 5 to 7 p.m., in the Chapel of Woodard Funeral Services
in Wynne. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18,
2003, at 1 p.m., at Rising Sun M.B. Church in Forrest City with
Rev. Julius Strong officiating. Burial will follow in McDonald
Cemetery in McDonald.
Mr. Prince Rivers Jr., age 63, of Forrest City, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2003, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.
Mr. Rivers, born Oct. 10, 1940, in Blacton, was the son of Prince Rivers Sr. and Hattie B. Turner Rivers. He is survived by one daughter Elizabeth Pegg Rivers of Pine Bluff; four sisters, Jerline Arnold of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Ruthie Daniel of Dumas, Mabelyne Harris of Chicago, Ill., and Ethel Foreman of Moro; seven brothers, Sandy Rivers of West Memphis, Edgar Rivers of Forrest City, Thomas Rivers of Toledo, Ohio, Gerome Rivers and Hastin Rivers, both of Moro, Alex Rivers of Little Rock, and Alfred Rivers of Tyler, Texas.
Visitation for Mr. Rivers will be held on Friday, Oct. 17,
2003, at Woodhouse Mortuary from noon to 5 p.m. in the Chapel
of Woodhouse Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Saturday,
Oct. 18, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Shady Grove M.B. Church with Rev.
Jessie McClure officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove
Cemetery.
Mr. John Daniel Sanders, age 81, of Hughes, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2003, in Forrest City.
Mr. Sanders was born Aug. 24, 1922, the son of Margie Misskelly. He had made his home in Hughes for most of his life and was a brick mason. He was a Baptist.
Mr. Sanders married Carolee Mason in 1951, and she survives him along with a daughter Brenda Plunk of Memphis; two sons David Sanders of West Memphis and Terry Sanders of Hughes; a step-son, Paul Mason of Horseshoe Lake; a brother, E.E. Sanders of Horseshoe Lake; a sister, Evelyn Jones of Memphis; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, James Michael Sanders in 1997.
Visitation for Mr. Sanders will be held on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held graveside at 11 a.m., on Friday, Oct. 17, 2003, at Forrest Park Cemetery.
