Norman Raymond McKibben

Mr. Norman Raymond McKibben, age 93, of Bruce, Miss., died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2003, at Bruce Nursing Home in Bruce.

Mr. McKibben was born Nov. 6, 1909, the son of William Henry and Lovie Lee Morris McKibben in Calhoun County in Mississippi. He was a charter member and deacon of the Ellard Baptist Church, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, a United States Army Veteran serving in World War II, a retired farmer and a barber.

Mr. McKibben is survived by his wife, Verlon B. McKibben of Bruce, Miss.; three daughters, Judy McKelroy of Bruce, Miss., Shirley Brown of Auburn, Ala. and Norma Hawkins of Forrest City; a sister, Cleo Box of Bruce, Miss.; a brother, Jack McKibben of Bruce, Miss.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003, at 11 a.m., in the Chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce, Miss., with Rev. Kevin Chrestman and Rev. Bobby Douglas officiating. Burial followed in Bruce Cemetery in Bruce, Miss.
