Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Roper, age 76, of Forrest City, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.
Mrs. Roper, born Dec. 6, 1926, in Palestine, was a retired seamstress. She is survived by a daughter, Clara Roper of Forrest City; two sons, Cleophis Roper Jr. of Trenton, NJ and Tommie Lee Roper of Princeton, NJ; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation for Mrs. Roper will be held Friday, Oct. 3, 2003, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Chapel of Clay Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Salem M.B. Church. Burial will follow in Casteel Cemetery.
