Mrs. Sylvia Marie Spangler Johnson, age 53, of Blytheville, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003, at St. Bernard's Medical Center.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Blue Island, Ill., attended school in Illinois and was a licensed practical nurse. She was employed by Baptist Memorial Hospital in Blytheville.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by three daughters, Suzanne Russell of Blytheville, Sara Evans of Wynne and Katherine Jones of Elaine; her mother, Arlene Spangler of Ash Flat; three sisters, Barbara Adams of Hammond, Ind., Wilma Reid of Oak Forest, Ill. and Rita Lauffer of Frankfort, Ill.; two brothers, Michael Spangler of Ash Flat and Joe Spangler of Trumann; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Joseph Spangler Sr. and two brothers.
A private memorial service was held in Trumann on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003. A public service will be held at a later date in Blytheville. The John W. German Funeral Home of Steele, Mo. is in charge of all arrangements.
