Mr. James C. Horton, age 59, of Forrest City, died on Friday, Sept. 26, 2003, at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fla.
Mr. Horton was born June 29, 1944, in Springhill, La., the son of Virgil Niles Horton and Callie Mae Windsor Horton. He lived in Forrest City for the past two years, was a retired truck driver and a member of the Faith Out Reach Church in West Helena. He was also a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Mr. Horton married Linda Eppes in 1988 and she survives him along with a daughter, Kim Gore, both of the home. He is also survived by two daughters, four sons, four sisters, a brother and 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2003, at 10 a.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forrest Park Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be made to the Faith Out Reach Church in West Helena.
Mr. William Henry Warren, age 76, of Forrest City, died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003, at his home.
Mr. Warren, born July 13, 1927, in Forrest City, was the son of Brewster Warren and Ruth Haskins Warren. He is survived by four daughters, Sandra Walker and Viveca Warren, both of Forrest City, Daphane Warren of Jonesboro and Sonya Rogers of Rockford, Ill.; four sons, Craig Warren and DeWayne Warren, both of Forrest City, Reggie Warren of Jonesboro and Schaun Warren of Little Rock; two sisters, Grace Warren of St. Louis, Mo., and Rosie Hardrick; and 20 grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Warren will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003, at 12 p.m. in the Chapel of Woodhouse Mortuary with Rev. Theodis Cochran officiating. Burial will follow in Casteel Cemetery.
