Mr. Howard W. Parker, age 71, of Widener, died Monday, Sept. 29, 2003, at his home.
Mr. Parker was born June 6, 1932, in Pine Tree, the son of Willie Parker and Rhoda Bell Brickie Parker. He lived in St. Francis County for most of his life, was a veteran of the Korean War and a carpenter. He attended the Forrest City Church of God.
Mr. Parker married Mary Courtney in 1958 and she survives him along with a son, Wayne Parker of Cincinnati, Ohio; one brother, Bud Parker of Brinkley, and several others family members and friends.
Visitation for Mr. Parker will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2003, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forrest Park Cemetery.
