Mr. Roosevelt Bohannon, age 76, of Forrest City, died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, at Crestpark Retirement Inn and Residential Care. Mr. Bohannon was born June 3, 1928, in Lake Village.
Mr. Bohannon is survived by his mother, Maybell Perkins of Vallejo, Calif. and two sisters, Mary Magleane Gaddies and Willie Mae Scott both of Vallejo, Calif.
Visitation for Mr. Bohannon will be held on Friday, Aug. 6,
2004, from 10:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Clay Funeral Home. Funeral
services will be held at the United Christian M.B. Church on Saturday,
Aug. 7, 2004, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Uzziah Duncan officiating.
Burial will follow in Casteel Cemetery.
Mrs. Edna Nicholas Munn, age 85, of Colt, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004, at the St. Bernard's Hospital in Jonesboro.
Mrs. Munn was born Aug. 8, 1918, in Colt, the daughter of Willie F. Gilbert and Mary Waymire Gilbert. She lived in Colt for most of her life, was a housewife and member of the House of Prayer Church.
Mrs. Munn married Harold Nicholas in 1937 and he preceded her in death in 1968. She married J.L. Munn in 1972, and he preceded her in death in 2000. She is survived by two sons, Harold Wayne Nicholas of Lexington, Mo. and David Nicholas of Booneville, Mo.; a daughter, Sandra Turner of Grand Praire, Texas; a brother, Edward "Bo" Gilbert of Palestine; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Danny Nicholas in 2001.
Visitation for Mrs. Munn will be held on Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Aug. 6, 2004, at 10:30 a.m., at Stevens Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forrest Park Cemetery.
