Charles A. Bradley

Charles A. Bradley, 61, of Judsonia, Arkansas died on Monday, August 16, 2004. He worked for sixteen years at General Industries in Forrest City, and at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Searcy for twenty-six years.

Mr. Bradley is survived by his wife, Rosie Bradley of the home; one son, James Russell Bradley and his wife Sandra of Texas; one daughter, Toni Lea Bradley of Ohio; two grandsons, James David Bradley and Jason Ryan Bradley of Texas; four brothers, Arvel Bradley and his wife Dora, Roy Bradley and his wife Charlotte, Murrell Bradley and Tommy Hay; four sisters, Edith Austin and her husband Barry, June Thompson, Frances Brown and Sharon Hay.

He is also survived by an extra special friend, Bonnie Bailey and his father and mother-in-law, Mr. And Mrs. Doyne Emmerson and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Josh and Pearl Taylor; a sister, Mary Mott; and a brother, Earl (Buddy) Bradley.

Graveside services will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Barnishaw Cemetery in Pine Tree, Arkansas. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob/ Judsonia, Arkansas.


Dalton Gene Weeks Sr.

Mr. Dalton Gene Weeks Sr., age 67, of Palestine, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2004, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.

Mr. Weeks was born Sept. 15, 1936, in Winfield, Ala., the son of Alton Weeks and Lillie King Weeks. He lived in Palestine for the past 40 years, was a farmer, a Baptist and served in the United States Army for four years.

Mr. Weeks married Barbara Evans in 1962 and she survives him along with three sons, Dalton Gene Weeks Jr. of Palestine, John William Weeks of Forrest City and Dewayne Weeks of Pocahontas; a daughter, Michelle Weeks of Marion; three sisters, Dean Holt, Rachel Littlefield and Faye Bridges all of Palestine. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.

Visitation for Mr. Weeks will be held on Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Aug. 20, 2004, at 10 a.m., in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bell Cemetery.
