Mr. Johnny Lee Drummond, age 53, of Fairbury, Neb., died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, at his home.
Mr. Drummond was born Dec. 23, 1946, in Wynne, the son of John Davis Drummond and Annie Jewel Sellers Drummond. He was a lineman for a power construction company and a Baptist.
Mr. Drummond is survived by his wife, Sue Ann Drummond of the home; his mother of Wynne; a son John Drummond of Fulton, Ky.; a daughter, Rhonda Garner of Gleason, Tenn.; three stepsons, Brian Beall and Greg Beall both of Austin, Texas and Kurtis Beall of Omaha, Neb., and a stepdaughter, Belinda Beall of Fort Worth, Texas. He is also survived by three brothers, Lonnie Drummond, Jimmie Drummond and Wayne Drummond all of Wynne; three sisters, Brenda Yarbro, Becky Graves and Martha Bunch all of Wynne and 14 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, David Drummond.
Visitation for Mr. Drummond will be held on Friday, Dec. 3, 2004, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Morgan Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, in Fairbury, Neb. and on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Morgan Funeral Home with Bro. Ellis Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Harris Chapel Cemetery near Wynne.
Mr. Adriel Long Sr., age 91, of Forrest City, died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.
Mr. Long, born Dec. 16, 1912, in Colt, was the son of Ulas Long and Catherine Pierce Long. He is survived by his wife Rachel Smith Long of Forrest City; two daughters, Ernestine Knox of Palm Beach, Fla., and Azzie Lee Long of Forrest City; three sons, Adriel Long Jr. of Forrest City, Melvin Long of Madison and James Lee Long of Milwaukee, Wis..; two brothers, Dover Long of Milwaukee and Hercules Long of Toledo, Ohio; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation for Mr. Long will be held on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, from noon to 5 p.m. in the Chapel of Woodhouse Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 3, 2004, at 1 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in Forrest City Cemetery.
Mrs. Ellen Parsley, age 81, of Forrest City, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004, at her home.
Mrs. Parsley was retired from General Industries and was a member of the Widener Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Bobby Parsley of Madison; two daughters, Mary Ellen Parkman and Charlene Kimble both of Forrest City; one sister, Bertha Holland of Forrest City; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, Homer and Eugene Parsley.
Visitation for Mrs. Parsley will be held on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Morgan Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Parsley will be held on Friday, Dec. 3, 2004, at 10 a.m. in Morgan Chapel. Burial will follow in Hughes Cemetery.
