James Howard "Popoo" DeVazier

Mr. James Howard "Popoo" DeVazier, age 71, of Jacksonville, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004.

Mr. DeVazier was the son of James Alvin DeVazier and Mable DeVazier. He was employed at Dassault Falcon Jet Corp. for 25 years, was retired from the United States Air Force and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

Mr. DeVazier is survived by his wife, Monta Sue DeVazier of Jacksonville; two daughters, Sally L. Wilkins of Denver, Colo. and Debra Dendy of Jacksonville; two brothers, William DeVazier of Caldwell and David DeVazier of Clarksville; two sisters, Francis Anderson of Heth and Diane Thomason of Forrest City; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by both his parents.

Visitation for Mr. DeVazier will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Griffin-Leggett-Rest Hills Funeral Home in North Little Rock. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004, at the Griffin-Leggett-Rest Hills Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Rest Hills Memorial Park. The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 901 North University, Little Rock, AR 72203.
