Mrs. Ethel Childs Ludwick, age 77, of Andrews, Texas, died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004, at Home Hospice House in Odessa, Texas.
Mrs. Ludwick was born July 17, 1926, in Coffeeville, Ala., the daughter of Robert Howard Bumpers and Maggie Beverly Bumpers. She moved to Mabelvale in 1976. She was retired from the State of Arkansas Revenue Department where she worked as a clerk for 20 years, she was involved in the Arkansas Business and Professional Women's Association and a member of Mabelvale Methodist Church. She moved to Andrews in 2004.
Mrs. Ludwick is survived by her husband, Charles Ludwick of Mabelvale; three sons, Rodney Jones of Little Rock, Delbert "Del" Jones of Abilene, Texas and Sam Jones of Andrews; two step-sons, Charles Ludwick of Houston, Texas and Kenneth Ludwick of San Diego, Calif.; a step-daughter, Barbara Stevens of San Francisco, Calif.; three sisters, Eunice Pugh and Earlene Gibson of Mobile, Ala. and Claudine Jones of Wynne; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both her parents; a sister, Mabel Dunnigan; and three brothers, John Bumpers, Earl Gray Bumpers and Leslie Bumpers.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ludwick will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004, at 10 a.m., in the Chapel of McNett Funeral Home in Andrews, Texas, with Rev. Emmett Barnard officiating. Burial will follow in Andrews Old Cemetery.
