Mr. Wayne Fenton James, age 45, of Las Vegas, Nev., died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, at the Nathan Adelson Hospice-East.
Mr. James was born Jan. 16, 1959, in Gary, Ind., the son of Ethel D. James and the late Almond James Sr. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a hotel security officer. He is survived by his wife, Dorian James of Las Vegas, Nev.; four sons, Shawn James and Justin James of Hampton, Va., and Christopher Ross and Michael Acosta of Las Vegas, Nev.; and two brothers, Almond James Jr. and Marshall James of Forrest City.
Visitation for Mr. James will be held on Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, from 3 to 7 p.m., at Palm Mortuary-Eastern in Las Vegas, Nev. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004, at 10 a.m. at Palm Mortuary-Eastern in Las Vegas, Nev. A graveside service will follow at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Tuesday at 12 p.m.
Ms. Sheila Ann Jarman, aged 56, of West Memphis, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, at Crittenden Memorial Hospital in West Memphis.
She was born June 19, 1947, in Memphis, a daughter of Mary Eunice Jarman and Travis Joseph Jarman.
She was a former teacher with the West Memphis School District. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of West Memphis.
Ms. Jarman is survived by a son, Chris Jarman of West Memphis; a brother, Woody Black of Memphis and a sister, Katie Harrison of Forrest City.
Her body was donated to the Medical Education and Research Institute in Memphis.
There will be a memorial service on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 200 Missouri St. in West Memphis.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society, St. Jude's, First Baptist of West Memphis or the Sheila Jarman Memorial Scholarship Fund, 1018 Cherry Lane, West Memphis, Ark. 72301.
Mr. John Henry Jones Sr., age 80, of Forrest City, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2004, at Wynwood Nursing Center in Wynne. Mr. Jones was born Nov. 4, 1923, in Parkin, the son of William Henry Jones and Anna Lou Davis Jones.
Mr. Jones is survived by his wife Lula Haggins Jones of Forrest City, two daughters, Lula A. Jones and JoAnna Johnson of Forrest City; two sons, John Henry Jones Jr. and Jerry P. Jones of Forrest City; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Louise Pruitt, a son, Clyde Jones and a sister, Josephine Roger.
Visitation for Mr. Jones will be held on Friday, Feb. 6, 2004, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Woodhouse Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, at 11 a.m., at the Community Voices Community Center with Bro. Floyd Stokes officiating. Burial will follow in Casteel Cemetery.
Mrs. Ethel Isibelle Meadows, age 92, of Three Rivers, Mich., died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004 at her home.
Mrs. Meadows was born July 21, 1911, in Kent, Mo., the daughter of Samuel and Nettie Lou Taylor Arnold. She was a member of the Jehovahs Witness Kingdom Hall and a member of the Zear school board. She married Fred Meadows in 1929, and he preceded her in death in 1996.
Mrs. Meadows is survived by two sons, Roy Meadows of Three Rivers, Mich. and Ray Meadows of Kalamazoo, Mich.; four daughters, Evelyn Coleman of Three Rivers, Mich., Betty Frazier of Colt, Bonnie Byrd of Palestine and Emma Featherstone of Constantine, Mich.; 26 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Johnie Meadows in 1993 and four grandchildren, David Meadows, Timmy Robinson, Justin Peevey and Rhonda Clarkson.
Visitation for Mrs. Meadows will be held on Friday, Feb. 6, 2004, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hohner Funeral Home in Three Rivers, Mich. and from 12 to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004. Funeral services will follow visitation at the funeral home on Saturday at 1 p.m. with Joel Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Three Rivers Area Hospital Hospice or COA.
