Mr. Major Gregory, age 79, of Forrest City, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004, at his home. Mr. Gregory, was born Feb. 17, 1924, in Oseceola. He was retired from Forrest City Water Utility.
Mr. Gregory is survived by his wife, Sallie B. Gregory of Forrest City; a son, Willie Gregory of Forrest City; four daughters, Elizabeth Ray of Wheatley, Louise Gregory, Mae Gregory and Vickie Gregory all of Aurora, Ill.; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Gregory were held on Monday, Jan. 19, 2004, at 1 p.m. at Beth Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Marland Brown officiating. Burial followed in Forrest City Cemetery. Clay Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
